This month I will give you my cushion top picks. Cushions are my next interior crush after lampshades and I have them everywhere (much to my husbands annoyance)! They are the best and quickest way to update or smarten up an interior. I have different cushions for entertaining and casual, day and night; just swap and change to suit the occasion and keep the best ones away from sticky little hands and dogs!
A smart upholstered storage box or ottoman is an essential piece of kit if you are going to do this though (or some space above a wardrobe, under the bed if you havent got the space or money)
Dormy House also have one for a little cheaper from £350-£900 depending on fabric and size
Be generous with the number of cushions and their size and layer them up on sofas and beds. When choosing a cushion for an armchair measure the back cushion of the armchair and make sure the cushion is slightly smaller in width; there is nothing more annoying than a cushion too big for a chair.
For beds less is not always more, layer big square cushions/pillows behind with smaller rectangle ones in front and add a bolster for a more luxurious look, look on pinterest for inspiration. I love this look below mixing plains with patterns to create a scheme that is both feminine and masculine.
Here are my top picks!
A great place to start and maybe dream is Yastik in West London, the cushions by Rifat Ozbek are stunning but quite pricey, these ones are around the £290-£390 price each
